As a Senior Engineer at ProvaLabs, Siwan Park’s role is blending scientific research with practical industry insights, driving both Customer Development and Data Analysis.
His strong academic foundation was built on a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington, an M.S. from Korea University, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto, followed by postdoctoral research at Seoul National University.
Siwan’s core technical expertise lies in Organ-on-a-Chip (OOC) technology. Throughout his academic career, he has developed a cutting-edge microfluidic platforms designed to accurately replicate key human organ functions. A notable highlight of his work includes engineering functional biomimetic epithelial barriers which are the crucial protective layers found in the skin, gut, and lungs.
